Is Talk Now Telehealth a counselling service?
No. Talk Now Telehealth offers Psychiatry, Psychology, Counselling and Psychotherapy telehealth appointments throughout Australia and New Zealand.
Do I get to choose my therapy and therapist?
Yes. You can choose your preferred therapy, therapist, date, time, location, fees, therapist star rating and affiliated services i.e., Medicare, Private Health, DVA etc.
Do you employ the therapists?
No. Each therapist runs their own business through our platform via subscription.
Are your therapists professionally registered?
Yes. All our therapists have their professional registration confirmed with their governing body prior to subscribing.
Can I receive a Medicare and Private Health rebate?
Yes. Some therapists offer digital claiming options at the time of payment. Alternatively, you will be provided with a Claims receipt should you need to have the claim processed manually.
Can I use Talk Now Telehealth just once or do I need to register for multiple sessions?
You can use the platform as little or as many times as you like.
Do I need to pay upfront?
Each therapist sets their own fee structure. Some therapists require upfront payments whereas others do not.
Is there a cancellation fee?
Yes. If you cancel within 48 hours of the appointment a $50 cancellation fee will be charged to your registered card. There is no fee for cancellations outside the 48-hour window.
What happens if I don’t pay?
Our system will send reminders for unpaid sessions. If the session is unpaid thereafter non-payment may result in professional debt recovery action.
Is my session private?
Yes. All consultations are private, confidential, and protected with advanced encryption technology.
How secure is the platform?
We use industry-leading encryption and comply with privacy regulations in Australia and New Zealand.
